Marina del Rey is a fun and vibrant getaway with a range of activities, from free outdoor concerts that get you moving to jaw-dropping fireworks displays. We’ll update our Events Calendar as details become available, but this short list will help you plan ahead.

California Yacht Club Sunset Series Regattas annual Marina del Rey event

April-September

Sunset Series Sailing Regatta

The California Yacht Club puts on this series of sailing races that take place Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. Best viewing spots are at Fisherman’s Village and Burton Chace Park. April —September, 2024.

Killer Rides

Killer Shrimp Restaurant & Bar opens its parking lot to hot rod, classic car, and motorcycle displays. Free admission. Event takes place once monthly in May, June, July and August, 2024.

BEACH EATS FOOD TRUCKS

Head to the parking lot #11 (14101 Panay Way) on Thursdays in the summer for dinner by the sea. Food trucks serve up gourmet grub from 5 to 9 p.m. Free admission. May –  October 2024.

Halibut Derby

June

ANNUAL HALIBUT DERBY

Join the Marina del Rey Anglers Club for the longest running fishing tournament on the West coast on June 1-2. Anglers from all over come to compete in catching the largest halibut on rod and reel. The event concludes with an awards ceremony and celebration at Burton Chace Park on Sunday, June 2.

Kahanamoku Klassic

The Southern California Outrigger Racing Association hosts this canoe event on the first Saturday of June. Watch departures at Burton Chace Park or view the teams paddling the main channel en route to the ocean course. Saturday, June 1, 2024.

Marina Lights is a seasonal holiday light program at Burton Chace Park that runs nightly in December. Make a night of it with dinner at a waterfront restaurant, then stroll through the park to take in the holiday light displays. Free admission! Dec. 1-31 2024.

Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade

Thousands of spectators congregate in Fisherman’s Village and Burton Chace Park to watch lighted boats on parade in the main channel. A 5-minute fireworks display will kick off the parade at 5:55 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 6 p.m.—8 p.m.

New Year’s Eve Celebration
