Annual Marina del Rey 4th of July Fireworks Show
Date: Tuesday, July 4
Time: 9 p.m. – 9:20 p.m.
The free fireworks display is shot from a barge in the Marina del Rey channel. Watch the show with synchronized music from popular viewing spots such as Fisherman’s Village and Burton Chace Park. Click here for more information.
Sunday FUNDAY at Marina del Rey Hotel
Date: Sunday, July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30
Time: 1 to 5 p.m.
This family-friendly summertime pool party series is a great place to unwind by the pool, listen to tunes by a live DJ and enjoy cocktails and food specials from SALT. Free for hotel guests; cover charge for the public ($50/adult, $20/child). Click here for more information.
Annual Free Summer Concert Series at Burton Chace Park
Dates: Select Saturdays, see below.
Time: 7 p.m.
Grab your family, a picnic dinner, and a blanket or low-profile beach chairs and make your way to Burton Chace Park for this popular event series. Seating is first-come, first-serve. On alternating Thursdays, enjoy classical and opera performances. On alternating Saturdays, expect a mix of pop music groups, including alt-rock, indie, and folk. Annual Free MARINA MOVIE NIGHTS at Burton Chace Park
Dates: Saturdays in July, August and September
Time: 8 p.m.
The free movie nights at Burton Chace Park returns in 2023! Pack a picnic dinner along with a blanket or low-profile beach chairs and find a spot on the grass by 7 p.m. to watch movies by the sea. Seating is first-come, first-serve. Click here for the 2023 summer movie lineup.
Killer Rides Car Show
Date: Sunday, July 30
Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The free car show is a family-friendly event for anyone who loves exotic cars, muscle cars, motorcycles and more. Click here for more information.
Ride the MARINA WaterBus
Hop aboard a scenic harbor tour for $1 per person (yes, $1 one-way gets you to a couple of stops; buy another ticket to reach other stops). The open-air water taxi stops at eight locations throughout the Marina including Burton Chace Park, Fisherman’s Village, Marina “Mother’s” Beach and more. See below for the schedule. LIVE MUSIC & NIGHTLIFE
There are tons of fun spots in MDR offering live music along the waterfront. Check out the weekly free concerts at Fisherman’s Village every Sunday (click here for July line-up). Or enjoy cocktails and apps while listening to live music at restaurants including Beachside Restaurant & Bar, SALT Restaurant & Bar, The Warehouse, Killer Yacht Club and more while you take in the water views and ocean breeze.
